Zhongshan Muya Co., Ltd. Participates in Malaysia Furniture Exhibition

Guangdong Muya Co., Ltd. participated in the International Furniture Exhibition held in Malaysia in early March to connect with the Southeast Asian market. The exhibition took place from March 1st to 5th at the Kuala Lumpur Convention and Exhibition Centre, where the company showcased furniture products tailored to local market demands.

Product Display Catering to Regional Needs

Muya exhibited modular catering furniture and hotel room sets at its booth. Among them, the dining table and chair series made from local Malaysian rubber wood, combined with a minimalist design style, attracted many visitors' attention. In addition, outdoor rattan furniture developed for tropical climate characteristics won recognition from on-site professional buyers due to its durability and breathability.

The company's exhibited furniture emphasizes practical functions. For example, the height-adjustable folding dining table meets the space utilization needs of urban restaurants, and the hotel bedside table with built-in charging ports caters to the usage habits of modern travelers. According to a company spokesperson, the exhibit design was preceded by market research, focusing on Southeast Asian customers' needs for cost-effectiveness and adaptability.

Exchanges and Cooperation with Local Industries

During the exhibition, Muya's sales team held talks with more than 30 Malaysian furniture distributors and hotel procurement departments. Many customers showed interest in the company's customized services, especially furniture solutions for mid-range hotel projects. The company signed a cooperation memorandum with a local material supplier to explore the joint development of environmentally friendly furniture materials, aiming to reduce production costs through regional resource integration.

Furthermore, Muya participated in the special discussion on "ASEAN Sustainable Furniture," sharing experiences in the application of recycled wood and water-based coatings. The technical director mentioned that Malaysia's emphasis on environmental protection aligns with the company's product philosophy, and the team also collected specific feedback on local color preferences and material requirements.

Steady Market Expansion

This exhibition participation reflects Muya's gradual market penetration strategy. According to the company, it received 12 confirmed orders during the exhibition, mainly from commercial furniture projects in Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru, accounting for 8% of its expected Southeast Asian sales in 2025. The regional manager stated, "We focus more on building long-term cooperation rather than pursuing short-term sales growth." The company plans to set up a sample exhibition hall in Selangor by the end of the year to allow local customers to experience product quality intuitively.

With the continuous development of the Southeast Asian furniture industry, Muya focuses on practical design and regional cooperation, gradually accumulating brand awareness through exhibition platforms. This pragmatic expansion approach based on product strength lays the foundation for its long-term development in the ASEAN market.
